Chicago Fire
Here’s what fans can expect from “Chicago Fire” Season 5. NBC

“Chicago Fire” Season 5 is coming soon. There are a lot of things fans should look forward to in the first episode of the season, and one of them is a big surprise about one of the characters.

Viewers of the show will learn something new about Mouch (Christian Stolte), according to TV Guide, and it’s something many did not see coming. Executive producer Michael Brandt said Mouch is actually a romance novelist in secret. The character writes stories set in firehouses. Mouch has kept that part of his life a secret for years, but one of his colleagues will learn about it and it will not be easy for him. Sylvie (Kara Killmer) will discover what Mouch has been holding on to for so long, and she will use the information to her advantage.

Aside from Mouch’s other life, fans will also be treated to a lot of drama in the first episode. Season 5 will feature “Chicago Med” star Guy Burnet. He will guest on the show as his “Med” character, although he will not be seen much. The character will be lost in the episode, and Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) will be tasked to look for him.

The episode will also feature Borelli’s problems, especially his rift with Chief Boden (Eammon Walker). Meanwhile, Casey (Jesse Spencer) will continue to work as Alderman, but his ties with Susan Weller (guest star Lauren Stamile) will be cut loose.

Romance will also be part of the first episode as Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Casey try to figure out how the new stage in their relationship will work. The two will start to question their line of job now that they have Louie as a responsibility.
