Chris Brown is stepping up to be a father to his 9-month-old daughter, Royalty. TMZ broke the news March 3 that Brown had fathered a child with model and longtime friend Nia Guzman-Amey. Since then, he has reportedly been doing everything he can to support his child. Now, it has been reported that the 25-year-old musician is trying hard to convince his baby mama to leave her home in Houston to be closer to him.

New reports on TMZ claim that Brown has asked the 31-year-old Guzman to move to Los Angeles. While they are not believed to be romantically involved, the site reports the "Run" singer wants to see his daughter more frequently. He is even rumored to have promised to pay for Guzman's L.A. home if she agrees to the move.

That cost would be in addition to the child support Brown has reportedly been paying his baby mama. The pair are said to have come to an informal agreement regarding child support, leaving the courts out of it -- for now, anyway. TMZ claims that during a recent argument Brown threatened to take Guzman to court. He is believed to be paying the mother of his child much more than a court would order and says if she doesn't cooperate with him he will reduce it.

According to Hollywood Life, Brown wants to raise his daughter, whose name is believed to be Royalty, alongside Guzman.

"He's adamant that they raise Royalty together. It's very important to him that he and her have a near-perfect relationship because he wants his daughter to be raised properly -- with he and Nia," a source told the site. "He knows from experience the hardships and heartache it can be without two parents in the same home, and he doesn't want that for Royalty."

TMZ's exposure of Royalty's existence earlier this month shocked everyone - including Brown's on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Multiple sites reported Tran was "blindsided" by the news. She took to Twitter to address the stories, wishing him the best of luck. She added, "No baby drama for me." The tweet has since been deleted.

Although it remains unclear whether Tran got the news like the rest of us, we'll know soon enough. The 26-year-old is slated to sit down with life coach Iyanla Vanzant for a tell-all interview about her four-year relationship with Brown. Previews for the interview show Vanzant questioning Tran's decision to take the "Loyal" singer back time after time.

"He betrayed you, he lied to you, and he did it all publicly," she says, causing Tran to break down.

Brown has not addressed his ex's decision to do the interview or his daughter. While he has neither confirmed nor denied having a child, Royalty was recently spotted being carried to Brown's tour bus during a stop in his hometown. Clips have since surfaced of the little girl being shown one of her dad's music videos, looking on in amazement.
