After the disappointing performance of her last album, singer Ciara may have found redemption with her latest project, “Ciara.”

Released July 9, the album is expected to make its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard projected. This would be welcome news for Ciara because her last album, “Basic Instinct,” didn’t even crack the top 40. That album, released in 2010, sold only 37,000 copies during its first week.

Led by the single “Body Party,” Ciara’s new album would be her fourth project to reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, her new single, “I’m Out,” made its debut at No. 50 this week.

“Ciara,” currently projected to sell between 55,000 and 60,000 copies by the end of this week, was produced by Rodney Jerkins. Ciara’s boyfriend, the rapper Future, participated in the project as well.
