Nearly a week of flooding in Colorado has left residents inundated with several inches of rain and floodwaters that have destroyed roads and residences throughout much of the state.

Four deaths at least have been linked to the flooding, and more than 500 people were still unaccounted for Sunday, according to a report by CNN.

The disaster will cost Boulder County alone an estimated $150 million just for roadway and bridge repairs according, the same report.

The continuous rain has affected the Front Range from Colorado Springs all the way north to Fort Collins, which is home to the vast majority of the state's population. Boulder County was reportedly hit with at least 7 to 8 inches of rain just on Wednesday and Thursday, causing massive damage. And more rain is expected to fall on Boulder County on Sunday.

Reuters reports that the National Weather Service has said some areas of Colorado have already seen more than 15 inches of rain over the course of three days, which exceeds the average rainfall totals for those areas in a year.

According to CBS Denver, heavy rain in the Boulder area forced the National Guard to ground helicopter crews, hampering rescue efforts on Sunday.

Despite these setbacks, rescue efforts continue as heavy rainfall and flash flooding continue to pummel parts of Colorado. Take a look at the aftermath left behind by the 2013 Colorado floods below in photos.
