Comic-Con 2011 featured the release of “The Walking Dead,” second season trailer. The season will premiere on October 16 on channel AMC and run for 13 episodes.

The post-apocalyptic horror TV series centers on a small group of survivors led by sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes. In season one, Grimes wakes up from a coma, confronts a post-apocalyptic world overrun with “walkers,” and finds his family outside of Atlanta.

In season two, Grimes and his band will be “heading out of the city, to the countryside to a farm,” one of the show’s actors told E! Online.

The gritty trailer starts with a man being chased down by walkers and then frantically shooting at them with a shotgun.

The trailer states that the group “is moving on” and that “Atlanta is done.” It also shows tensions within the group, which at various points was on the verge of splitting up.

It shows a tense scene of the group hiding from walkers under cars in an extremely backed up highway.

Besides “The Walking Dead,” Comic-Con 2011 also featured content on Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe, Deadliest Warrior: Vampires vs. Zombies, Psych, Mortal Kombat, and X-Men.
