After the divorce of country singers Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, another country musician, Jake Owen, has followed suit. The “Don’t Think I Can Love You” singer and wife Lacey Buchanan are divorcing after three years of marriage.

The 33-year-old singer took to Twitter to announce his separation from 25-year-old Buchanan. He did not give any reason for the split.

"I wanted to let my fans know how much I've appreciated their love and support of not only my career, but my family as a whole," Owen tweeted. "Sadly, Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage. We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents. We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time," he added.

Owen also said that the divorce was “the hardest thing I've ever done in my life,” and that his fans had been a part of the romance since day one.

Owen and Buchanan were married in May 2012, a month a month after he proposed her on stage during a concert. The couple’s daughter was born in November 2012.

“A best friend for life. I now have a wifey,” Owen had tweeted after the wedding. “My face hurts from smiling. What a wonderful way to start the rest of my life.”
