Courtney Love was prohibited from having any direct contact with her daughter Frances Bean, 17, TMZ.com reported Wednesday citing a restraining order issued by a judge.

Courtney Love lost the legal control of her daughter on Monday, People Magazine reported. She is now under the legal, medical and financial authority of her paternal grandmother and aunt.

I hate to sound cold but any kid of mine who pulls this s**t has lost her position... Love, 45, wrote on her Facebook page. She was deceptive, she lied and she's lying to herself... My daughter is not always honest.

The reason for the restraining order against Love is unknown but the order's duration will be determined on a hearing to be held on January 5.
