The first round of the 2023 NFL playoffs concludes Monday night with the marquee matchup of Wild-Card Weekend. The Dallas Cowboys visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a trip to the divisional round on the line.

The Cowboys and Bucs have a game time of 8:15 p.m. ET. Two TV channels will air the contest with broadcasts on both ESPN and ABC. The "Monday Night Football" affair can also be streamed with ESPN+ and WatchESPN.

It's the second time that a playoff game will be part of "Monday Night Football." The league hopes that the Cowboys and Bucs have a more competitive matchup than the inaugural contest. Wild-Card Weekend 2022 ended with the Los Angeles Rams blowing out the Arizona Cardinals 34-11 on a Monday night.

Monday's game is expected to be a close one. The Cowboys are favored by less than a field goal on the road. No matter how competitive the game might be, the losing team will suffer a disappointing playoff exit.

Dallas has Super Bowl aspirations after a second straight 12-5 season. When the Cowboys last completed their second consecutive 12-win campaign, it ended with a Super Bowl championship in the 1995 season. It was also the last time that Dallas even reached the NFC Championship Game.

Tampa Bay started the season as the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC. That belief was only strengthened in Week 1 when the Bucs beat the Cowboys 19-3 in Dallas. Tampa Bay has gone 7-9 since that game, only making the playoffs because every team in the NFC South finished with a sub-.500 record.

The Buccaneers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 31-15 in last year's wild-card round. Tom Brady has advanced beyond the wild-card round in 11 of the last 12 seasons.

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Cowboys 23-17 in Dallas on Wild-Card Weekend a year ago. Dak Prescott has a 1-3 record in the playoffs.
