Social media heartthrob Hayes Grier, younger brother to Vine sensation Nash Grier, is taking a break from making six-second videos to participate in Season 21 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The exciting casting announcement was made on Thursday by Grier himself through none other than the social savvy teen’s Twitter account.

“Start tweeting and retweeting #hayesdwts @DancingABC. Love all of you who helped me get here. Go give the video a thumbs up and respond,” the 15-year-old said to his millions of followers, along with a 30-second clip.

During the video, Grier revealed that he was originally supposed to disclose his partaking in “DWTS” at a later date. However, he received the thumbs up from ABC to unveil to eye-widening news to his beloved fans early. So, at four in the morning, Grier took to Twitter to confirm he would be shaking it out on the ballroom floor when “DWTS” returns in the fall.

“It’s going to be really cool and an amazing journey to be on Season 21 on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ And I’m super excited and I really want you guys to be a big part of it and support and vote for us. And it’s going to be a great time,” he gushed. Grier then asked his fans to get involved by sending him their best dance moves. And, who knows? Maybe his devoted followers will even see their routines intertwined throughout Grier’s “DWTS” sequences when the show premieres on Monday, Sept. 14.

Grier will be a force to be reckoned with on the upcoming installment considering he has a massive fan base, which might just help him take home the coveted staute. Entertainment Weekly reported that the teen contestant, who will be the second young “DWTS” competitor to star on the hit ABC series (following “Hunger Games” star Willow Shields, now 15, who competed during Season 20 of the dance series), has four million followers on both Vine and Instagram and nearly three million fans who follow him on Twitter.

Grier will be going toe-to-toe with Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza and Nick Carter when the new installment of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres.

“Dancing With the Stars” will announce its full, official Season 21 lineup on Wednesday, Sept. 2, and will air its Season 21 premiere on Monday, Sept. 14, on ABC.
