Paula Deen was the most recent celebrity to get the ballroom boot from “Dancing With the Stars.” And while the elimination might have come as a surprise to some, the Season 21 contestant claimed she knew she was going to be sent home during Week 6 of the hit ABC competition.

“I told Louis [Van Amstel], ‘I’m going home tonight,” Paula revealed to Entertainment Tonight following Monday night’s live show.

But instead of shedding a tear, like Alexa PenaVega did when she learned she was in the bottom two, the Southern chef revealed she felt “relieved” to be the fourth contestant eliminated from the long-running series.

“I can't help but feel relieved,” the 68-year-old best-selling cookbook author admitted, adding that the grueling competition took a toll on her body. “I was tired.”

During an interview with E! News, Paula dished that she suffered a serious injury while competing. “I’ve danced for six weeks with a meniscus issues,” the eliminated contestant explained. Louis chimed in that his partner handled the injury like a pro, putting her best foot forward -- literally -- every week despite the pain.

“No one should know [about the injury] because we’re not playing that card,” he said. “We’re not going to be the victim. We’ve danced though it all, but now it’s time to take care of health.” And a book tour! Paula revealed to ET that she was putting off an anticipated book tour for her latest cookbook “Paula Deen Cuts the Fat” so that she could partake in “DWTS.”

“I hadn’t been out there to do my books singings, my book tour, so I’m so ready to get on the road,” the sassy chef revealed.

But just because Paula is hitting the road doesn’t mean she’ll retire her dancing shoes for good. The two-stepping author revealed the she plans on joining a dance club with her husband, Michael Groover. However, there’s been no word if Paula will recreate Mark Ballas’ sexy Milkman routine with her husband of 11 years.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
