‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2016 Spoilers: ‘GMA’ Star Ginger Zee Talks Season 22 And Reveals Partner

“Good Morning America” meteorologist Ginger Zee has swum in a lake full of jellyfish in the Philippines, explored a hidden, Vietnamese jungle and jumped out of a plane from 13,000 feet. But now the adventurous ABC TV star will take on a daunting new challenge: competing on “Dancing With the Stars.”

On Friday, the 35-year-old confirmed that she’ll be a contender on Season 22 of the hit ABC dance competition with Season 20 Mirror Ball champion Val Chmerkovskiy.

“How lucky am I?” she gushed during a segment on “GMA.”

Val then gave audiences some insight on Ginger’s hip-shaking talents. “She has incredible potential,” he said, adding that he didn’t want his partner to get “too cocky.” “And I want to help her stay super mommy.”

In December 2015, Ginger and her husband Ben Aaron welcomed a son together. Now, three months later, Ginger will compete on the long-running show in honor of her little boy, Adrian.

“I want to do it for him,” Ginger said, explaining that she’ll be flying from Los Angeles to New York every week for him and her “GMA” gig. “There’s a lot of work ahead of us!” she noted.

Although Ginger’s hectic schedule seems nearly impossible, there’s one person who is already predicting that the weather woman will make it to the 2016 spring finale — her mother!

Ginger’s mom, Dawn Zuidgest-Craft, visited the “GMA” set to wish her daughter good luck.

“I can’t believe you’re going to be doing this! I’m so excited!” Ginger’s mother gushed, revealing that while her daughter’s dance experience may be minimal, she has the heart and determination to take home the Season 22 Mirror Ball trophy.
