Tripp on "Days of Our Lives"
Tripp (Lucas Adams) learns more about Ava on the April 4, 2017 episode of “Days of Our Lives.” NBC

He has finally gotten to know his biological father and wasn’t happy when he learned his mother is dead. Now, Tripp will continue looking into the story Steve told him about Ava on the Tuesday, April 4 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Previously on the NBC soap, Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) located Tripp (Lucas Adams) in Arizona and brought him to Salem. There, it was confirmed through a DNA test that he was the son Steve had with Ava years before, but who was believed to be dead. Excited to learn about his father and meet him, Tripp began asking questions about his mother too, forcing Steve to tell his newly discovered son the story that he’s been telling for over a year when it comes to how Ava died.

Tripp was furious when he learned Ava was not only dead, but that Steve was the one who killed her, after an ISA order to do so because of the dangers she posed. He decided he needed some space from his new dad, and has been staying at his half-brother Joey’s (James Lastovic) loft in the meantime. He was beginning to realize that the things Steve said Ava had been capable of were true as he researched her, though he decided to do some more digging on his own as well, and placed a phone call. Now, he will receive some potential unexpected answers to other questions he had regarding Ava.

What Tripp has not yet learned however, is that while Steve did tell the truth about Ava being killed after she was smothered with a pillow, he lied about who killed her and why. Steve has been covering for the real killer, Joey, who ended Ava’s life because of all the problems she caused for not only his parents, but for him as well. Now, as Tripp continues uncovering more information, he could get closer to the truth, and that may start to make his new family members nervous about what he'll find.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
