A passenger booked to fly on a Delta flight took a stand against the airline's baggage fees Tuesday.

The unidentified passenger, who was scheduled to head to New York City, left four of his seven bags behind in Seattle after being informed that he would have to pay a total of $1,400 in baggage fees, reports NBC New York.

Seattle authorities shut down the ticket counter and called a bomb squad to check the abandoned luggage since there looked to be wires sticking out of the bags. But they found that the bags contained only personal items.

Law enforcement officials questioned the man once he arrived at Kennedy Airport on Tuesday. He was eventually released once they completed their investigation.
