Demi Lovato proudly showed off her physique in Instagram. The 22-year-old pop singer said she now loves her figure because a special someone has helped her love herself.

Last Saturday, the singer-songwriter posted a picture of herself in a pink and white floral romper with a caption, "Learn to lurrrrrvveee yerrrrr currrrrvveees [sic]." In the photo, she acknowledged boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has helped her to love her own physique. “I actually used to hate them... But then a special someone helped me learn how to love them... And he sure loves them.... #squats #COOLFORTHESUMMER,” she added.

Lovato was reported to have struggled with body image issues and eating disorders, which were featured in her music video, “Skyscraper.” The singer underwent rehab for “physical and emotional issues.”

Fortunately, she has successfully managed to get over them and slammed the “thigh gap” trend. “For some reason, this whole thigh gap thing has kind of swept over what people think is beautiful and if you have that naturally, then that's totally fine, you're still beautiful," she told E! News.

The singer’s new viewpoint was inspired by her love interest. Last year, Lovato told the Fitness Magazine: “I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief.” While she admitted being on tour does not encourage a healthy diet, someone special compensates for it.

In other news, the “Heart Attack” singer will be one of Iggy Azalea’s bridesmaids, the Daily Mail reported. In a Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, Azalea, 25, revealed Lovato will take part in her wedding with Nick Young.

Lovato recently performed “Made in the USA” last Saturday at the MLB All-Star game. Her newest single “Cool For The Summer” is out and available in iTunes.
