Demi Lovato really doesn’t care if her former tattoo artist was offended that she covered up the lips inked on her forearm. Her tattoo was supposed to look like a kiss, but Lovato openly said it looked like a female's private parts and covered it up, prompting a bitter Twitter exchange this week

Ashley McMullen, the woman who said she did the ink work for Lovato, was disappointed that the singer didn’t give her credit and slammed the singer on social media Tuesday. McMullen claimed the star didn't pay for the tattoo and didn't give her credit for doing it. But Lovato wasn’t going to let the artist have the final say, especially since she thinks McMullen shouldn’t have been tattooing her in the first place. The singer was 18 when she got the tattoo and she had been drinking, she argued.

The "Heart Attack" singer issued a long Twitter response Thursday, which has since been deleted. But nothing ever really dies on the Internet. A screenshot of the full NSFW response can be seen here, courtesy of MTV News.

"First, I would like to say I'm really sorry I don't remember you or getting tattooed by you, but as you know I was f--ked up and sometimes people act like '#turds' when they're loaded,” Lovato began.

She also referenced leaving urine on the toilet seat during the tattooing, something McMullen called her out for in her Instagram post: “Second, I apologize for my '#peepeetoiletseat'… That wasn't on purpose, I was simply a drunken teenage girl.”

Finally, Lovato laced into McMullen for tattooing her when she was clearly drunk and underage. “Lastly, I apologize for making fun of your work.. But… if I were you, I wouldn't claim that one because it looked more like an open v----- (or even a b--- hole as my 8 year old little sister called it at the time.) I also wouldn't be admitting to the fact that you tattooed a very intoxicated 18 year old on a tour bus without the proper judgment that most legit tattoo artists have of saying 'Hmm… This underage kid is wasted, maybe I shouldn't permanently ink a hot pink kiss mark on this girl's wrist….? Oh, well… F--- it, she's famous.'"

But Lovato wasn’t done there. She continued: "I can't blame you for [my] getting the tattoo, I take full responsibility for that, but if the issue here is you wanting credit, maybe next time you should wait for the person to get your tattoo sober so they would actually remember getting the tattoo in the first place, or perhaps you could've thought about all of this as a blessing that I forgot everything about you-- that was until you outted yourself for the now internationally infamous 'v----- tattoo.' But you're right, I should give credit where credit is due, and you Ashley, surely deserve credit for this one.”

Lovato, 22, has been open about her struggle with drugs and alcohol and has been sober for three years. Now, instead of a smooch, Lovato has a blooming rose on the inside of her wrist.
