Naya Rivera is trading in her Cheerios pom-poms for a broom and a mop. That’s right, the 28-year-old “Glee” actress is starring in Season 3 of Lifetime’s hit dramedy “Devious Maids.” And according to reports, Rivera’s character will be just as cunning as your favorite, sassy characters from the Marc Cherry-created series.

Rivera will portray the recurring role of Blanca in Season 3 of “Devious Maids,” which will premiere on Thursday, June 1. Blanca is described as a “wide-eyed” newcomer who is desperate for a cleaning gig.

“I asked to change my hours so I could go to college part-time and next thing I know I don’t have a job,” Blanca said in a promo video, explaining how she got fired by her previous employers. “And now I can’t afford classes because I’m super broke. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

Luckily for the frantic bombshell, Marisol (Ana Ortiz) has all the right connections. She tells Blanca the exciting news that the Stappord family has returned to town -- and chances are, they’re probably on the hunt for a new maid.

Blanca is in disbelief. Could this offer be too good to be true? Dania Ramirez, who plays Rosie on series, teased to “Good Day LA” that it most definitely is.

“[Blanca’s] going to be working for a new family who seems to be picture perfect -- a family that was from Season 1,” the actress said, adding that nothing is ever quite what it seems on “Devious Maids.”

The show’s executive producer, Sabrina Wind, dished to TVLine that the wild world of “Devious Maids” would be unveiled to Blanca in episode 2 of the third installment. However, fans shouldn’t expect for sweet Blanca to run and hide from the “unreal” scene she witnesses. Instead, the new maid will channel her inner Santana Lopez (from “Glee”) and confront the challenge head on.

“Very quickly, we bring in some of the colors people are more familiar with from Naya,” Wind stated, explaining that Blanca and Santana may share some very similar characteristics later down the line.
