Roselyn Sanchez recently defended her right to be a working mom.

On her Instagram account, the “Devious Maids” actress revealed that she has read the comments of fans and critics who seemed to be too concerned that she returned to work just weeks after giving birth.

Sanchez understood where the concern of her fans were coming from, but as a true professional, she has already committed to hosting the Latin Grammy Awards and had to be there. In her lengthy post, Sanchez also admitted to not being fully recovered, but she promised everyone that she’s taking good care of herself.

The actress was also questioned by some fans who thought that she gave up breast feeding just to be able to tend to her work. But the actress shared a special image of her and her son, Dylan Gabriel, during his feeding time.

According to People, Sanchez and her husband, Eric Winter, welcomed their second child on Nov. 3. After giving birth to Dylan Gabriel, the actress shared exclusive photos of her adorable bundle of joy with People en Español. One of the snaps also featured Sanchez and Winter’s 5-year-old daughter, Sabella “Sebi” Rose.

Sanchez was joined by “Jane the Virgin” star Jaime Camil as the host of the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards on Nov. 16, which aired live on Univision at 8 p.m. EST. Sanchez wore a black gown to the prestigious event in Latin music.

Some of the performers who took the stage included French Montana, Alessia Cara, Luis Fonsi, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bad Bunny and more. Former Fifth Harmony member, Camila Cabello, also served as one of the presenters. Other artists that introduced the awards included Sofia Carson and Flo Rida, according to E! News.

Juanes and Fonsi’s “Despacito” is nominated in the record of the year and song of the year categories. Other awards included best new artist, best contemporary pop vocal album, best urban fusion or performance, best alternative music album, best tropical song, best regional song and more.
