There’s plenty of pressure in the fashion industry to defy time by trying to look as young and beautiful as ever, but don’t expect Victoria’s Secret bombshell Alessandra Ambrósio to succumb to the temptation of plastic surgery.

Well, not again at least. The Brazilian beauty underwent cosmetic surgery to fix her ears when she was only 11. "I always knew I wanted to be a model so I decided to have my ears pinned back because they stuck out a bit," the 32-year-old told in Net-a-Porter magazine for their December issue.

"I found this doctor in my hometown [of Erechim] in Brazil who had only done it once before, so I was a guinea pig," she added. "The first few nights, it felt like someone had cut off my ears. For a year, I had to go back for mini surgeries."

Ambrósio’s ears, now botched, can be fixed, doctors told her. But she is afraid to go under the knife for a second time. "Cosmetic surgery freaks me out now," she said. "I'm afraid of having anything done… there's too much of that in L.A."

While the Brazilian stunner has made the choice to stay away from the knife, she explained it hasn’t always been easy. When she gave birth to her daughter, Anja, now 5, she struggled to maintain her famous physique.

The supermodel gained 60 pounds during her pregnancy: "People kept telling me that I would bounce back straight away, but a week after giving birth, I still had that balloon belly.”

"It was the first time in my life that I had to diet. Before I had my kids, if I gained one or two pounds, I would just eat salad and it would be okay," she added.

Ambrósio most recently added 19-month-old son Noah to her family with Anja and fiancé Jamie Mazur.
