Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth: Are they or are they not getting married?

The short-haired starlet took to Twitter to dispel rumors about a split between her and her “Hunger Games” Australian hunk and even revealed she was going to be taking a break from social media to get away from all the drama.

On Wednesday she tweeted:

"I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it," she posted. "I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining".

The pop star also added: "My new music is gonna shut everyone up." The former Disney star later continued: "Not discussing anything but my music from now on."

So there it is -- the singer is still engaged, end of story, right? Not exactly. It just so happens that the same day the 21-year-old posted the tweet, she was photographed without her ring, People reported.

A source revealed to Us Weekly there’s much more to their convoluted relationship then meets the eye, saying: "[the young couple] have always had a very passionate relationship... [with] a strong physical attraction... but [they] have very different personalities and backgrounds. This makes their relationship very complicated."

"Liam and Miley are done," the insider continued to Us Weekly. "Miley put her career on hold to spend all her time with Liam. Now that she is back recording her fourth album, he's not happy. She says she's already over it."

To make things worse, Hemsworth booked a one-way plane ticket to Australia and doesn’t have any plans on heading back to L.A. anytime soon.

The source said, "Liam's trip to Australia was planned. He doesn't have a return date to Los Angeles yet."

Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus last May, but the two have yet to actually tie the knot.
