Ozzy Osbourne had fans up in arms May 9 when it was reported that he’d gone missing, but it seems it may not have been the first time.

According to Us Weekly, the Black Sabbath frontman disappeared in late April — weeks before news broke that he had potentially been unfaithful to wife Sharon Osbourne. Sources close to the couple claim Sharon believed her husband had stepped out for a walk. When he didn’t return, she grew concerned due to a health condition he’d been diagnosed with in 2005. She and her three children teamed up to find Ozzy, 67, which is when they came across the phone number of Michelle Pugh — his alleged mistress. He returned home days later but refused to reveal where he’d been and with whom.

“There was a number no one recognized,” the source said. “It was Michelle’s.”

The first photos of Pugh surfaced online on May 13. Entertainment Tonight posted the pictures, which showed the hairstylist outside her Beverly Hills, California, salon with a co-worker. The images came just after reports began circulating that Sharon, 63, had Pugh fired from her job.

Ozzy and Pugh’s relationship is said to have begun platonically. She worked as his hairstylist, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. She also cut Sharon’s hair and several other celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez and Alicia Silverstone. They bonded over a love of “heavy metal music” and shared sense of humor according to a friend named Ray Chatman. ET reported that their relationship was far more than sexual. Ozzy and Pugh are said to have had an “emotional” connection.

“This is an emotional affair — it wasn’t just a one-time hookup. There are feelings there between Ozzy and this woman,” a source said. “This is a double life he’s been leading — and that’s what upset Sharon the most and made her leave him.”

Despite the drama surrounding Ozzy’s alleged affair, Sharon remains optimistic about her future. During an episode of “The Talk” aired May 10, she stepped out onstage sipping lemonade — a tribute to Beyoncé’s latest album “Lemonade,” which is largely about infidelity. During the broadcast she thanked fans for supporting her throughout the split and “saying they love me.”

“I honestly am empowered, and I have found this inner strength, and I’m like, ‘Right. OK. What’s next?’” she said.
