Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) on Thursday said he will introduce a substitute financial reform bill at the start of next week.

On Monday, I will present to my colleagues a substitute to the original financial reform package, unveiled last November, he said.

Dodd, who leads the Senate committee in charge of financial reform, said a few outstanding issues remain despite months of talks.

He said that he will hold a full committee markup on the week of March 22.
