Dollar briefly rises vs euro after US data
The dollar briefly gained versus the euro on Friday after government data showed U.S. retail sales rebounded in July, while consumer prices rose.
The euro fell as low as $1.2785, according to Reuters data, compared with $1.2806 EUR= before the data. It was last at $1.2822, flat on the day.
