The dollar erased losses against the yen on Thursday after data showed U.S. existing home sales fell less sharply than expected in June.

The dollar rose to a session peak 87.13 yen JPY=, according to Reuters data, from 86.75 yen before the release. The pair was last at 87.09, flat on the day.
