Meek Mill may have secured a win in his ongoing feud with Drake after news surfaced that the Philadelphia rapper might receive an Oscar nomination, fans speculated. Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend was slammed by social media users after Drake received a Grammy Awards nomination for his diss track “Back to Back.”

The Academy Awards reportedly announced last week that 74 songs, including Mill, Jhene Aiko and Ludwig Goransson's “Fighting Stronger,” have advanced in the best Original Song category for 2016. Mill took to his Instagram account Sunday to post a photo announcing the news, with the caption, “Everything dope.”

“I mean an Oscar better than a Grammy is it not? @majorgoals I already know how much he gon gloat bout gettin an Oscar over a Grammy,” one fan wrote on Instagram. A second Mill fan called on to Drake’s fans to respond. Another user wrote: “Don’t mind me just stopping by to say #f---drake,” while a fourth made comparisons between the Oscar and Grammy awards.

“So meek gets nominated & it don't matter but drake gets nominated & everybody on social media has something to say,” another comment on Mill’s Instagram post read.

Amid support for Mill, some Drake fans slammed the former calling him a “flop” and also saying that he will never win the battle against the Canadian rapper.

The news of a possible nomination for Mill comes just days after he posted a message saying: “Pray. Relax. Let go. And let god take over.”

Mill and Drake got into a public spat on July 21 after the "All Eyes on You" rapper took to Twitter and told people not to compare him with Drake because he doesn't write his own rap songs. Drake responded with two diss songs, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” while Mill fired back with "Wanna Know."

The feud between the two intensified after some songs in Drake’s mixtape with Future, titled “What a Time to Be Alive,” allegedly took aim at the “House Party” rapper and his girlfriend Minaj. Drake had previously confessed his love for Mill’s girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Mill recently embroiled himself in a legal issue after he allegedly violated parole for a 2009 drug and gun case by changing his travel schedule without the court’s permission.

According to reports, Drake’s fans apparently begged a Philadelphia prosecutor to arrest Mill. Following his court appearance, Mill took to Instagram to ask his fans to pray for him.

“I’m actually fighting for my life and freedom… Something I’ve been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and had been on probation since… I am 28 now," he wrote. "It’s funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it’s [sic] just shows me where the world is at nowadays! But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best!"
