Grammy-winning rapper Drake surprised his fans on Friday by releasing a new album, “If You're Reading This It's Too Late,” on iTunes. The 28-year-old Canadian rapper followed the footsteps of Beyonce, who, in 2013, released an album without any prior notice.

The 17-track album reportedly features guest artists such as Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Travi$ Scott. Drake's previous album, "Nothing Was the Same," released in 2013, topped the weekly Billboard 200 album charts and reportedly sold 658,000 copies in its first week.

Several social media users praised the rapper's new album and also expressed their surprise over its sudden release.
