The European Central Bank said Thursday it will leave a key interest rate unchanged at 0.75 percent, disappointing those who were hoping the euro zone's central bank would act to stimulate economic activity recession-bound monetary union.
The ECB said the rate on its main refinancing operations will remain 0.75 percent, its marginal lending rate will remain 1.5 percent and its deposit interest rate will remain zero.
