“Scream Queens” actress Emma Roberts was photographed spending time with friends in Arcadia, California, this weekend, just days after the announcement that her engagement to “American Horror Story” co-star Evan Peters is off. The 24-year-old starlet was spotted without her pink and gold diamond engagement ring.

Roberts was photographed wearing a denim jacket and a green and tan plaid dress with lace-up wedges. She picked up a few beverages at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with a friend, even sharing a few pictures on Instagram. Roberts then headed with her two female friends to Santa Anita Park to watch the horse races, according to E! on Monday.

Neither Roberts nor Peters has publicly addressed the split. The couple began dating in 2012 while filming the comedy “Adult World,” and co-starred in two seasons of Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology series, “American Horror Story.”

Their relationship wasn't without its problems. Roberts was arrested for domestic violence in Canada on July 7, 2013, for an altercation with Peters. TMZ reported at the time that when police arrived, Peters had a bloody nose and an apparent bite mark. Roberts was released shortly afterward since Peters did not press charges. He proposed to her on Jan. 6, 2014.

"They grew apart," a source told People on Friday. "They both had a lot of growing to do, and it was better that they do it on their own."

A source also confirmed to Just Jared on Friday that the split was mutual and the two remain on good terms. “Their three years together just ran its course,” the source said. “They have so many great memories together but couldn’t make it work in the end. The breakup was amicable – there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends!”

Roberts is currently filming the Fox horror series "Scream Queens," which was created by Murphy and will air starting in September.
