Actress Emma Roberts was arrested for a domestic abuse incident after she reportedly attacked her actor boyfriend, Evan Peters, during an argument, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

The incident took place in the early hours of July 7 at a hotel in Montreal, Canada, and Roberts was soon taken into custody, after hotel guests called the cops informing them of an altercation in the couple’s room.

When law enforcement officers arrived, they found Peters with a bloody nose, and Roberts’ ‘American Horror Story’ beau had a bite mark. A source close to the situation told TMZ that the couple was physically assaulting each other, which resulted in Peters getting a bloody nose.

But, the source added that it wasn’t Roberts who bit him.

The actress was immediately arrested, reportedly because Peters had obvious physical injuries, TMZ said, adding that Roberts was released just hours later, as Peters did not want to press charges.

“Officers on the scene reported light injuries to both people,” a source told the New York Daily News. “The female suspect was arrested, but no charges were pressed in court so she was released. It is a closed case at this time.”

The duo has been dating since the spring of 2012, and recent photographs of the couple that made it to the tabloids paint a happy picture. According to reports, there has been no indication of trouble brewing between the couple, and the reason for their fight is yet to be revealed.

Roberts, daughter of actor Eric Roberts and the niece of Julia Roberts, is the latest addition to the ‘American Horror Story’ cast. Her boyfriend, Peters, was part of the first two seasons, and he will be a returning cast member for the upcoming installment that focuses on witches and witch hunts.
