Emma Watson showed off her new bob hairstyle at the Eco-Age screening of documentary “The True Cost” Tuesday. The Hollywood actress also showed off her sartorial style in a sleek black dress teamed with an elegant camel coat and a colorful sequinned handbag. The actress has been keeping a low profile for quite some time.

The British beauty flaunted her new "do" at the film screening, wearing her glossy brunette locks down in tousled waves. The hairstyle features an asymmetrical, chin-grazing, textured bob, several inches shorter than her light brunette, mid-length strands earlier. Emma had a quiet salon session in the Soho neighborhood of New York this week, People reported.

Her publicist, Luke Windsor shared a picture of her and her new hairstyle on Twitter.

Emma complemented the style by pairing it with winged black eyeliner and a slick of pale pink lipstick. Her new bob is in complete contrast to the long tresses she has been rocking this past year. The former “Harry Potter” star wowed fans with her new hairstyle as she entered the venue rocking her bob.

The actress first chopped her locks after wrapping the fantasy franchise in 2010. She then went in for a pixie cut, but after some time, she chose to grow her hair and kept it at a moderately long length.

Emma co-hosted the film screening with Livia Firth. The 25-year-old was also pictured mingling with guests throughout the evening including Patrick Dempsey and Livia’s husband and actor Colin Firth.

The “Beauty and the Beast” actress took to Instagram and shared a selfie with Livia. “Love her! Privilege to host a screening of The True Cost with @livia_firth, Andrew Morgan and Lucy Siegle tonight. Watch at http://truecostmovie.com or on @netflix,” the actress captioned the picture. The picture shows the two women smiling away for the camera, resting their hands on each other’s shoulders.

The selfie has garnered 283k likes from her 4.9 million Instagram followers, till the time of writing the story.

Meanwhile, short and bob hairstyle has been a huge trend amongst the A-list stars. Recently celebs like Jennifer Lawrence, Khloe Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrosia and supermodel Naomi Campbell have all joined the bob brigade. Others like Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Sophia Bush and Nicole Richie.
