Fox’s hit show “Empire” has become known for its gritty storylines, catchy music and surprising celebrity cameos. Throughout the second season stars such as Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland and Pitbull have made guest appearances. Now, the cast and crew are dishing on what musicians they hope to see pop up on the show in the future.

At PaleyFest Los Angeles on Friday, Terrence Howard (Lucious Lyon) told the audience he hopes Adele, Prince and Kendrick Lamar could be added to the roster. Gabourey Sidibe (Becky) said she wants to see Beyonce gust star, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The outlet also writes that “Empire” director Sanaa Hamri also shared his wishlist revealing that Lamar, French Montana and D’Angelo are on it.

“Well, from my points of views, I’d like to bring more artists on to perform,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Not too many guest stars, but just about integrating those artists. My passion is music.”

The cast and crew also shot down reports that Trai Byers (Andre Lyon) was leaving the show because he felt his character wasn’t being utilized enough on Season 2.

“There’s not a stitch of truth to it,” Byers said (via Variety). “But it shows the love and popularity to the show … Again, it’s not true, but it opens the ground to really talk about how media uses their power to perpetuate negativity built on lies versus positivity which is built on truth … The truth has to ring louder than the lies.”

Creator Lee Daniels added that he knew “Empire” had become a big show when he read the rumor online.

“I said, ‘Boy we are a hit! Because they are talking about us and there are rumors and this is great.’ This is when you know. The haters are gonna hate,” he said.

As previously reported, rumors started swirling last week that Byers was quitting after Page Six wrote a story claiming the actor didn’t like the direction the show was going in and felt his character was beneath him. Byers quickly dismissed the report on Instagram writing that he had nothing but “love and respect” for the show and was “so proud, so happy and so lucky to be a part of the cast.”

Season 2 of “Empire” returns March 30 on Fox at 9 p.m. EST.
