Photos of Erin Moran's final days, before she died Saturday from cancer, were obtained by In Touch Weekly and published Tuesday. The "Happy Days" actress was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer but an autopsy report into her cause of death is still pending.

Moran's friend Steven Wishnoff shared a photo of the star taken at a charity event in October 2016, saying that "she was as generous as she was kind and funny.” The 56-year-old's body was found unresponsive by law enforcement officials in Indiana.

Another friend of Morin, Paul Petersen, revealed that she was “a happy and upbeat person with a good heart.”

“Erin had her troubles, but [upon being diagnosed with cancer] she was pretty strong,” he told In Touch Weekly, revealing that she had shared the news of her cancer with friends late last year. “Erin was in treatment, but the news was never good. She was coping as best she could."

On late Tuesday, Moran's husband Steven Fleishmann penned an open letter remembering the last few days with his wife. The letter was published on Facebook by former "Happy Days" star Scott Baio.

Open letter from Steve. (Erin Moran's Husband).

Erin and I met 4/22/1992 and parted ways 4/22/2017. We were planning to go toThunder Over Louisville to celebrate. She was feeling fine on our anniversary11-23-2016. Maybe four or five days after we got back Erin woke up and had about a dime size blood stain on her pillowcase. She saidI think i bit my tongue. A couple days go by and there's a bigger spot of blood. We get like 4 days into December, there's more blood. I get a flashlight and say let me look.It was not her tongue it was her tonsil on the left side. I thought it was tonsillitis. So we went to an ENT who said they wanted to biopsy it. It came back squamous cell carcinoma. She started radiation and chemo. Five days a week radiation and chemo only on Thursdays. We did that the whole time. It got so bad so fast. By the middle of February, Erin could no longer speakor eat or drink. She had a feeding tube implant and i feed her 6 to 8 times a day. She was still happy, she was active, she texted people on her phone all day. On the 21st she was having trouble breathing. She woke up on the 22nd, she was not 100%. She needed Kleenex, so i went to the store and cameback. She was there watching T.V in bed. I laid down next to her held her right hand in my left. I feel asleep woke up about a hour later still holding her hand and she was gone, she was just gone.. Norton Cancer Institute never said how bad it was.. The coroner told me it was really really bad. It had spread to her spleen, she had a lot of fluid in her lungs and part of her brain was infected. The coroner said even if she was in the hospital being pumped full of antibiotics she still would not of made it. He said it was the best that she was with me and went in her sleep. So that's it.

Baio found himself in hot water after he accused his co-star Moran of dying from a heroin overdose. During a Monday radio interview, Baio talked about Moran’s troubled life, where she struggled with alcohol abuse.

“I was asked ONLY about Erin's troubled past due to drug & alcohol abuse. I was still upset and said I felt that living that kind of a lifestyle will catch up with you and nothing good would come of it,” he said in a post explaining why he erroneously claimed Moran died from a heroin overdose. “THIS WAS BEFORE THE CAUSE OF DEATH WAS ANNOUNCED STATING STAGE 4 CANCER.”

Moran’s brother, Tony, slammed Baio for making the assumption about her cause of death.

"Well guys. Guess what? I was contacted by Scott Baio's wife. His wife! F---ing coward! I've never met her. I do know the scumbag piece of s--- Scott Baio though. He was a piece of s--- back then and still is. He had his wife contact me! Very apologetic and shit. Doesn't surprise me. It's too late you mother---ing pieces of s---! Go back under the rock you crawled out from under. There isn't one word I want to hear you speak. Makes me sick to my stomach," Tony wrote on Facebook.

Baio clarified his comments Monday but is yet to respond to Tony's rant .

“Please stop assuming the worse in me. I'm a compassionate person. I'm very heartbroken over her passing, especially since it was cancer,” the actor penned on Facebook Monday. “I don't see people going after or attacking every network that said it was a drug overdose. I've openly stated my truths. I'm done.”
