Estimate Of US Economic Growth In 3Q Raised To 2.7% From 2.0%

The U.S. economy grew 2.9 percent in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said Thursday, more than the 2 percent it initially estimated.

Economists surveyed by FactSet expected the Commerce Department to revise its initial estimate of economic growth during the July through September period to 2.8 percent.
