Five Estonian students are braving the cold to get a taste of what life was like during the Iron Age.

The students are hacking it out for five days in the small borough of Rõuge in a log hut and figuring out how to stay warm, according to a Reuters report.

Smokiness has turned out to be a major problem.

You can't heat and be in the building, and after dark there is no light, 24-year-old student Kristiina Paavel told Reuters. We tried the old method of burning a cinder of wood for light, but it gave too much smoke, so we will just go to sleep earlier tonight.
