European stock index futures pointed to a mixed start for equities on Monday, after hitting a four-week closing low in the previous session on concerns over the strength of economic recovery.

By 0607 GMT, the futures for Euro Stoxx 50 STXEc1 ticked 0.1 percent higher, Germany's DAX futures FDXc1 slipped 0.1 percent and France's CAC 40 futures FCEc1 put on 0.1 percent.

The FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 of top European shares fell 1.9 percent on Friday to hit a four-week closing low after U.S. jobless numbers for September were higher than forecast. (Reporting by Dominic Lau)
