Facebook is now celebrating its new counts of active users around the world. Today, it announced that it has reach 250 million active users.

In April, Facebook updated its active user count and said it has 200 million active users worldwide an additional 50 million users in the course of three and half moths.

As of today, 250 million people are using Facebook to stay updated on what's happening around them and share with the people in their lives, Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer, Facebook wrote on a blog post.

Among other social networking sites, Facebook is already ahead and had more traffic internationally.

For us, growing to 250 million users isn't just an impressive number; it is a mark of how many personal connections all of you have made, and how far we at Facebook have to go to extend the power of connection to the billions of people around the world, Zuckerberg wrote.

Zuckerberg did not disclose any revenue but promised that Facebook will work harder to deliver more products and a looking forward to connect the next quarter billion people on Facebook.
