Ezra Miller is in talks with Warner Bros. for a role in the "Harry Potter” spin-off movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The actor already is set to appear as the Flash in Warner Bros.' “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and later in his solo movie “The Flash.”

The report says Miller is in early talks for a role opposite Eddie Redmayne, who plays the protagonist Newt Scamander in the movie, which is based on the book by "Potter" author J.K. Rowling. Miller’s character is speculated to be either a villain or a rival of Redmayne’s character.

Newt Scamander is a "magizoologist" who travels to New York in search of magical creatures. Although the story is based in the “Harry Potter” universe, it takes place 70 years before the events of the "Potter" books and films.

A report in Variety confirms the news about Miller and adds that Katherine Waterston ("Inherent Vice") will play Tina in the movie and that the producers are still casting her younger sister, Queenie. According to the report, Alison Sudol of TV's "Dig" is director David Yates’ favorite to play Queenie.

Actors Josh Gad and Michael Cera are being considered for the film as well, according to Variety.
