Family and friends of actress Farrah Fawcett, who died last week at age 62 gathered on Tuesday at the Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles to hold a private funeral.

Among the attendants were her long time boyfriend actor Ryan O'Neal and their son Redmond O'Neal. Also appearing were Fawcett's former co-star Kate Jackson from the TV series Charlie's Angels, model Cheryl Tiegs and Alana Stewart, the ex-wife of Rod Stewart.

Fawcett's coffin was covered with an arrangement of yellow and orange flowers as the song Amazing Grace accompanied its entrance into the church.

Ryan O'Neal made a reading at the service, according to a program handed out to reporters, Reuters noted.

Fawcett died on June 25 after three years battling anal cancer.
