The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” can count one less housewife among their cast next season.

According to Radar Online, Faye Resnick, one of the most polarizing characters on the Bravo reality show, has told friends that she will not be joining the cast again because the show is “ruining her life.”

“Faye is a tough cookie, so for her to say things have become so bad she is finished with the show, is a big development,” a source told Radar. “She’s a very successful interior designer and being on the show is just bad for business -- not to mention that Faye says it is ruining her life.”

The source claimed that Resnick has been deeply disturbed by the negative publicity she’s received since getting into a series of on-air disputes with cast members Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville. “After the episodes aired in which she got into an argument with Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump, Faye started getting all these hateful, nasty tweets,” the source said. “It was just absolutely shocking to her that people are so emotionally invested in the show, and are bold enough to say such ugly and mean things.”

The insider said that Resnick even turned down an offer from Bravo to become a full-time cast member, because she had such a negative reaction to the last season.

The source added that Bravo producers had been eyeing Resnick as a potential replacement for Adrienne Maloof, who also recently announced she would be quitting the show due to an ongoing feud with Glanville. “Faye was being courted to replace Adrienne Maloof next season,” the source said. “Lisa and Brandi need someone to fight and spar with now that Adrienne is gone. Producers are extremely disappointed Faye won’t be back next season because the drama is ratings gold.”

Glanville recently slammed Resnick in a blog post for Bravo, telling readers that she was “disgusted” by Resnick’s behavior, and alleging that her claim that Glanville hooked up with a man in a bathroom at Kyle’s white party while naked was entirely false. “Faye, Faye, Faye. I think that she just makes things up in her head to get camera time,” Glanville wrote. “I wasn’t found naked in a bathroom in any way shape or form. I simply had a 10-second, fully clothed makeout session with a hot man. The only person that walked in was Lisa and she pulled me out of the bathroom by my ear like a good mum. (BTW I dated that hot man for six months after ‘bathroom gate’. We are still close friends, in fact he is my real estate agent!)”

Resnick hasn’t publicly commented on the rumors that she will depart from the show.
