This weekend the movie The Final Destination has debuted number 1 movie with $28.3 million at thee box office according to studio estimates on Sunday.

Inglourious Basterds, from Weinstein Co., came in second with $20.04 million. Halloween II, from Weinstein Co.'s Dimension Films, was third with $17.4 million, Bloomberg reported.

According to distributor Warner Bros, theaters with at least one 3-D screen earned 3.25 times as much as those that showed the movie in 2-D only.

The movie is the seventh top debut this year for Warner Bros., the most recent being Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
