If you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), odds are good you’re salivating over any potential spoilers coming from the studio’s next big crossover event, “Captain America: Civil War.” Now a new allegedly leaked, but more than likely fake, teaser trailer for the film has been released.

It’s worth mentioning again up top that this trailer is probably very, very fake - which we’ll get into later. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not still fun to have a look at it and pretend for just a minute.

What made so many people sure that this was a legit look at the upcoming battle between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is the fact that it appears to be gritty footage secretly filmed on a smartphone in the audience of a Comic Con panel. It claims to show the first images of Steve Rogers’ Cap getting ready to battle his former Avenger ally in an all out war over Superhero Registration.

The footage, originally posted to the blog TheRealStanLee.com allegedly comes from a Comic Con in India in which a savvy fan managed to record a special screening of the event on his or her phone. However, as Movie Pilot notes, it’s entirely too early for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who appears in the video below, to have any real teaser footage from the film as it’s currently still filming. While it’s not unheard of to cut together a trailer for a movie that’s still in the works, this would be early for Comic Con, even by Marvel’s standards. Therefore the trailer is more than likely fan-made.

In addition, with “Captain America: Civil War” still one year away, it would make much more sense for the studio to be promoting its closer release of “Ant-Man.” However, with “Civil War” promising more superheroes than a normal “Avengers” movie, Marvel Studios will no doubt have to cull some kind of teaser together in the coming months to satisfy its fan base once the heat from “Ant-Man” dies down.

What is perplexing about the whole alleged teaser is the creator’s use of Frank Grillo as Crossbones in action. So far the only images that have been made available of the former “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” villain came from legitimately leaked set footage taken by bystanders at the Atlanta, Georgia set. So while the teaser below doesn’t necessarily offer the first official or real look at Brock Rumlow as the titular Marvel villain, it’s certainly a fun look from a gifted video editor.

For those that don’t remember, Rumlow was an ally of Captain America before he was revealed as a Hydra sleeper agent. After some impromptu boxing with The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), he was last seen burnt to a crisp but still alive in a Hydra-controlled medical facility.
