Comedy Central hosted its first ever Comedy Awards Saturday night and David Letterman and Tina Fey won big.

Actor Alec Baldwin won Best Comedy Actor on Television for his role in 30 Rock, and Kristen Wiig won Best Comedy Actress on Television for Saturday Night Live.

The award for Best Comedy Actress and Actor in Film went to Tina Fey for her role in Date Night, and Zach Galifianakis for Dinner for Schmucks.

ABC's hit Modern Family took home the award for Best Comedy Series. The Other Guys was named Best Comedy Film.

John Stewart was awarded best Late-Night Comedy Series for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

As for Best Animated Comedy Series and Film the awards went to South Park and Toy Story 3 respectively.

Daniel Tosh was chosen by fans as best Breakthrough Performer award an fans also chose Auto-Tune the News: Bed Intruder Song as Best Viral Original.

As it was previously announced, Eddie Murphy was awarded with the Comedy Icon Award while David Letterman took home the night's most honorable award. He was the first recipient of the Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence.

The Comedy Awards will air on April 10 on Comedy Central, Nick at Nite, VH1, and TV Land.
