The Earth 2 versions of Ronnie (Robbie Amell) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) will join forces on "The Flash" Season 2. The CW

There is no question about it now — Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) is returning to "The Flash." After photos from the set of Season 2, which will resume airing new episodes on the CW Jan. 19, revealed Ronnie, who was killed in the Season 1 finale, standing beside his former wife, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that the Earth 2 version of the couple will causing trouble for Barry (Grant Gustin) when the show returns.

Fans started to get excited Sunday when Canadian celebrity and TV gossip blog Canadagraphs released photos of Amell reportedly on the set of "The Flash" Season 2 in what appeared to be his Firestorm costume. However, it was not immediately clear if the photos were really from "The Flash" Season 2 or from the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow," the CW spinoff series in which Amell is set to reprise his role.

Later, though, more photos surfaced showing Ronnie next to Caitlin Snow in her Killer Frost garb, making it pretty clear that the photos were indeed from "The Flash." Soon after, Kreisberg confirmed the news.

“We are beyond excited to have Robbie [Amell] back on 'The Flash,'” Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly. “You can’t keep a good Firestorm down. Only this time, he’s back with a twist, a deadly Earth-Two version of our beloved Ronnie in the form of Deathstorm.”

So, Ronnie will be back, but not the same Ronnie, and he will be joined by his Earth 2 wife, who is not as pure of heart as her Earth 1 counterpart — the promo for the midseason premiere already confirmed the Killer Frost debut.
