The No. 4 Florida Gators will try to build on their best performance of the season Saturday night against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Vanderbilt Stadium

Florida shot up the polls after their 14-6 victory over then-No. 4 LSU last week, as running back Mike Gillislee scored on a pair of 12-yard rushes in the third quarter and totaled a career-high 146 yards on 34 carries.

Florida’s defense gave their team its first victory against a ranked opponent since 2010 by holding the Tigers to just two first quarter field goals and no touchdowns for the first time all season.

The hard-running Gators exacted revenge on an LSU team that blew them out 41-11 last season.

"We wanted to hurt them," Florida defensive end Dominique Easley said to the Associated Press. "We wanted them to feel the pain that we felt last year. We had hurt in our heart, so we wanted them to feel that same thing."

A motivated and confident Florida could make for a long night for Vanderbilt, who earned their second win of the season last week against Missouri.

The Commodores pulled out a 19-15 victory with a safety and a muffed extra-point by Missouri, and running back Zac Stacy’s 72 yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Jordan Rodgers had 182 passing yards and an interception, and will have to play his best game of the season against a Florida squad that has won their last 21 games against Vanderbilt, dating back to 1988.

The game begins at 6 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast by ESPNU, or you can watch their live stream online at Watch ESPN here by providing your cable provider information.

Prediction: Florida is now arun-first team and Gillislee should have a big day against a Commodore squad that has allowed 507 rushing yards against ranked-SEC opponents. The Gators will remain undefeated unless Vanderbilt pulls off a huge upset.
