MADRID, April 30 (Reuters) - Spanish debt is under control and Spain will not have to ask for help like fellow eurozone member Greece, Spain's Economy Minister Elena Salgado said in an interview with newspaper Cinco Dias published on Friday.

Our debt is clean, we will not have to ask for help, she said.

Salgado said the government's plan to reduce the deficit was in full flow and it would achieve budget targets. Government spending should be even tighter next year, she said.
