‘The Fosters’
How will Stef (Teri Polo) cope with the changes in Jesus' (Noah Centineo) personality in “The Fosters” Season 4, episode 12? Freeform

“The Fosters” Season 4, episode 12 will finally reveal whether or not Jesus (Noah Centineo) will survive.

In episode 11, titled “Insult to Injury,” Jesus was in a coma after getting into an altercation with Mariana’s (Cierra Ramirez) ex-boyfriend. Since Jesus was already suffering from a brain injury, the recent accident was way too much for him to endure. In the promo released by Freeform, Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) are standing right beside Jesus’ hospital bed when the latter’s blood pressure suddenly went down. Stef asks Jesus to stay with her.

While speaking with TV Line, “The Fosters” cast member Maia Mitchell confirmed that Jesus will survive. However, bigger challenges await him and the rest of the Adams Foster family. “He’s going to suffer through intense mood swings. Once someone goes through something like that, it can change you a lot, change your temperament. He’s also physically challenged now. He has to be supported now. Lena really, really takes on that role as the caretaker, which she is going to find really intense and strenuous. So that definitely puts a strain on her relationship with Stef. You’re going to see them all having to really pull together for Jesus,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mariana will also go through some personal struggles of her own. Since she was the one who called Jesus for help when Nick (Louis Hunter) followed her, Mariana will feel extremely regretful for what happened. She will rely on her ex-boyfriend, Mat (Jordan Rodrigues), who doesn’t feel the same way for her anymore. Mariana will also undergo therapy for her drug addiction. She recently became dependent on Jesus’ ADHD meds.

“The Fosters” Season 4, episode 12 will air on Freeform on Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
