Frank Ocean recently said on Twitter his father wants to sue him for one million dollars but there doesn't seem to be much information about the alleged lawsuit beyond a couple short tweets by the R&B singer over the past couple days.

So for now there is no real answer to the question of whether Ocean's dad wants to sue him. All we have to go by is a string of tweets, including the following one, which the singer deleted after posting it to his account recently:

"father wanna sue me for a million. like i owe him back child support. weak individual bought me a swiss knife at 6yrs old then dipped on me."

The tweet set off a round of media speculation about an alleged inter-family lawsuit, and Ocean has offered further mysterious missives in an attempt to address the situation.

On Tuesday, he sent out the following amorphous tweet, which appears to be an attempt to quell the interest over the lawsuit controversy:

"if you know how to read you know enough."

And Ocean followed that one up with another tweet on Wednesday that was directly aimed at the controversy over his father allegedly wanting to sue him for a million bucks:

"i got his DNA though, maybe I inherited some of his karma too."

Frank Ocean is one of 2012's breakout musician, having released a stellar debut album in "channel ORANGE" that was recently nominated for six 2013 Grammy Awards, including one for Artist of the Year, and one for Record of the Year for his track "Thinkin Bout You."

Ocean was also nominated as one of GQ's Men of the Year, in addition to a slew of other honors.

His career began as one of the musicians associated with the group Odd Future, which includes rapper Tyler the Creator, who also weighed in with the following tweet of his own about the alleged one million dollar paternal lawsuit:

“PLAY HIM INGLORIOUS AND TELL HIM I SAID HE’S A F WORD.”

So for now the world will have to wait to find out exactly what's up with Frank Ocean and his father,
