Fred Hayman, famed Rodeo Drive boutique owner, was inducted to the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style on Tuesday. Hayman is only the fifteenth recipient of the award.

Hayman is often called the father of Rodeo Drive, as it was his vision that made the Beverly Hills, Calif. street so famous. It was Hayman who first saw the strip as a home where celebrities could stroll and shop. This marketing to celebrities created the cluster of luxury brands on Rodeo Drive and pushed the street into popular culture.

Hayman is the former owner of Giorgio Beverly Hills, the boutique that transformed Rodeo Drive with its yellow and white striped awnings.

Previous Walk of Style honorees include Grace Kelly and Cartier (2009), Valentino (2009), Princess Manolo Blahnik (2008), James Galanos (2007), Gianni and Donatella Versace (2007), Salvatore Ferragamo, Edith Head, James Acheson and Milena Canonero (2006), Herb Ritts and Mario Testino (2005), Tom Ford (2004), and Giorgio Armani (2003).
