‘Friends From College’ First Official Trailer Starring Cobie Smulders Released [WATCH]

“How I Met Your Mother” star Cobie Smulders stars in the first official trailer for the upcoming movie, “Friends From College.”

In the almost three-minute clip, Smulders’ Lisa Turner and Keegan Michael-Key’s Ethan Turner are gearing up for their school reunion. The couple, whose relationship is close to being estranged, are on board a vehicle talking about what they will do when they reunite with their peers. Unfortunately, the traffic jam is causing tension between them. Smulders’ character curses at the cab driver behind them after the latter honked his horn a few times.

The clip also teases the kind of relationship the couple has with their friends. According to the show’s official synopsis, Lisa and Turner are already in their 40s, but they feel as though they go back to their 20s whenever they are with their problematic friends. Their inner circle include Max (Fred Savage), Nick (Nat Faxon), Sam (Annie Parisse) and Marianne (Jae Suh Park).

Another scene from the teaser shows Ethan hooking up with Sam. When the latter tells Marianne about it, she reminds her friend that she’s cheating. Sam tries to defend herself by saying that it’s just a simple hook-up, but Marianne insists that since she and Ethan are married to their respective partners, they are already cheating on them.

Meanwhile, Lisa’s struggles at work are also highlighted in the promo for the upcoming Netflix original series. There are just too many demands from her boss, and she also needs to keep up with the competition. While faced with these problems, she also confronts Ethan about wanting to have a child. When she asks her husband if he wants to make their family complete, Ethan tells her that he doesn’t really know what he wants.

Towards the end of the clip, the entire group is gathered inside a party vehicle with drinks on hand. They talk about life and are having a blast with each other. “Friends From College” also stars Rachel Resheff as Chloe, Allegra Rose Edwards as Madison and more.

“Friends From College” will stream on Netflix starting July 14.
