Before Manchester United posted a 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford, title-contenders Manchester City succumbed to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage despite having a two-goal advantage over Fulham.
Sergio Aguero continued his dream start to his City career, opening the scoring in the 18th minute. It was the seventh goal of his City career, and he added the eight shortly into the second half.
It was seemingly the decider, but Bobby Zamora got one back on 55 minutes to make things interesting. A spirited Fulham then completed the revival when skipper Danny Murphy slotted home the equalizer with just 15 minutes remaining.
It means Man City sit at second place in the table, two below leaders Manchester United and three above third-placed Chelsea.
