Stock futures fell on Thursday after Bank of America Corp, the No. 2 U.S. bank, missed quarterly profit estimates, adding to worries about the outlook for the financial sector.

S&P 500 futures fell 5.4 points, and were about even with fair value, a mathematical formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract.

Dow Jones industrial average futures dropped 35 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures dipped 3 points.
